The FORT Pickleball is a premier, 10-acre pickleball complex in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, designed to accommodate all levels of play, from casual social matches to professional tournaments. The facility features a variety of professional-standard courts to meet different player needs and preferences.
Court types and features
Total Courts: 43 dedicated, outdoor hard courts with permanent lines and nets.
Weatherproof Courts: 14 covered “indoor” courts are available year-round, enclosed on three sides to protect against sun and rain. The pitched roofs above the nets are 28 feet high, ensuring uninterrupted play.
Stadium Court: The complex is home to the world’s first dedicated pickleball stadium, designed for major APP Tour events and competitive play.
Grandstand Champion Courts: Four oversized 40×70 foot courts offer a premium experience for competitive matches.
Standard Courts: 23 standard 34×64 foot courts are available for regular play.
Cabana Courts: Four private cabana courts are available for intimate group events.
Fencing: Every court is individually fenced, featuring 4-foot high sidelines and 8-foot high baselines for enhanced safety and to keep balls from rolling onto adjacent courts.
PlaySight Technology: All 43 courts are equipped with AI-enabled PlaySight video streaming technology. Players can stream matches live, replay highlights, and share videos. Coaches also offer video review sessions to help players improve.
Social vs. Competitive: The facility is thoughtfully designed to separate players by their motivation. The west side of the club is designated for social and recreational play, while the east side is reserved for more competitive matches.
Important information for players
Reservations: Court reservations are required and can be made through the club app. Booking windows vary by membership tier. All Hours and Off-Peak members can book up to 14 days in advance, while Social members have a 7-day window.
Open Play: Open play is available 18 hours a day, offering a way to play and meet new partners. The Fort limits the number of players per court to minimize waiting time.
Skill-Rated Play: The facility offers skill-rated reserved play, ensuring balanced matches by grouping players with similar skill levels. This is available for players with skill ratings from 2.0 to professional.
Day Passes: Day passes are available for non-members, offering a flexible option for drop-in play.
Food and Beverage: Outside food and drinks are not permitted on the premises. The on-site restaurant and bar, Lakeside, offers food and drinks, with courtside delivery available via QR codes.
Code of Conduct: Players are expected to follow a specific code of conduct, which includes rules on behavior, language, and the use of substances.
Equipment Rental: Pickleball equipment can be rented on an hourly, 3-hour, or full-day basis. Terms and conditions apply.
Cancellation Policy: The Fort has a strict 24-hour cancellation policy for court reservations. However, full refunds (issued as club credit) are given for weather-related cancellations.
